The State of Video Editing on Linux in 2022!
See I never liked the idea of "distro for beginners" as it insinuates that you'll be constantly moving from OS to OS which ironically pushes people away
ребят, я его нашёл, он здесь)
Steam on the other hand: yo lets add a piece of code that if something fails deletes your root directory and its entirety
Small fraction? I dont know if thats true anymore. I have more success getting games to run on deck and my linux desktop than i do failures.
Well time to 🏴☠️
The "recommended specs" are not a measurement, they are an estimated number recommended for a "good" experience, which is also not a measurement. Dont use those specs to measure how heavy a distro is. Measure it by running the distro and checking how much RAM, storage, CPU etc are ACTUALLY used by the distro 🤦
Debian takes about 3GB storage space. I use Alpine for containers and arm64, Debian for Desktops and Servers. Perfect combo.
I use templeOS btw
I switched cause i felt windows was "asthetically cluttered". I like my stuff more minimalist.
QubesOS isn’t a Linux distro, it runs all those VMs without a Linux host, just the Zen hypervisor.
I remember switching to Linux back then because I was a big Danganronpa fan and had a huge Chihiro crush, I wanted to be a programmer like him. It has been a long time since then and I just stuck with Linux because convenience.
because windows is too brutalist and Im tired of it also its so nice and cool to see grub every time you open the computer and KDE Plasma is just too good and I love fedora
its exiting to give goverment paranoid and ransomware threat😂
There is such console: Lenovo Legion GO
I personally tested Arch based distros a ton in VMS before daily driving it in my main machine. Never had any major stability issue since day 1.
why is there jotard music in the background
BlackArch Linux?
I am using Linux for the first time and have installed Debian
Im still thinking if steam made proton just for the steamdeck or for actual people playing games on their linux pcs.
By this logic, PlayStation 3,4 and 5 are also a pain to use since they're based in FreeBSD.
Garuda?
Fun fact: Red Star OS (North Korea’s operating system based on Fedora) uses about 500MB of RAM on idle. They can actually make spyware without the bloat
CTO of voicecracks
Just take the failure of Manjaro as an example. They come with their own delayed builds of Arch packages, but everything possible goes wrong. Pushing broken and not officially released RC kernels to users, repeatedly forgetting to update their SSL certificate, stealing and rebranding things from others as their own, and this list can continue a lot longer.
I can't call it a linux distro if it's available only on the Steam deck(officially )Its just a linux based operating system. If i can install this on my laptop its a distro
So HoloISO is a distro?
Let me tell you, when I accidentally deleted my boot folder, I got pretty upset
I installed Arch on a spare drive to give it a swing. After a few hours of tinkering I think I got most of the stuff working. For whatever reason liquidctl doesn't see my h115i 😢
also when you type "apt" it automatically runs it with sudo
Big picture must be a beast then
Im proud to be one of them!
The heaviest distro is probably Endless OS, with a bunch of stuff pre-installed out of the box.
The Finals actually works on Linux! Works good on the Steam Deck.
I fucking died at 46:04
NFSU1 😅 "exit to windows"
so what do you prefer OS for gaming in linux?
i use arch systemd/gnu/linux/
But how about drivers updates and other stuff
What switches do you use for your keyboard?
tinycore😂😂😂
when I first discovered this command I RAN to my old laptop with Linux on it just to see what happened lol watching an operating system delete itself in real-time while it was running was the turning point in my understanding of what Linux was really about! FREEEEEEDOMMMMMMMM
I do need to run most of the Adobe Programms so i could never truly enjoy the full Linux expierience. And yes i tried alternatives like GIMP and other but they are not good for professional use case.
A missed opportunity to say "pause the video and try it yourself"
I use Debian on my home server and Arch on my Desktop and ThinkPad, I tried Arch on my server but it broke after running a “sudo pacman -Syu” one day and that broke GRUB which refused to reinstall when I booted into archiso
Loving the Jojo reference
Perfect. Your whole computer running from the ram, free of bloat
I'm literally switching from Arch to Debian while watching this video 💀💀💀
Is that Lofi Giorno's theme ?!?!
Heaviest distro is BlackArch, it's ISO alone is 22GB in size.
also Intel Clear Linux lol
I like kde fedora but it's probably not a great option for someone who is brand new and doesn't know what they're doing (like me). Also, why the fuck is my cursor turning into a giant black square after every couple reboots
